What to check after a storm
A safe, practical sequence when wind, hail or debris has passed.
Safety first
Stay off a wet or damaged roof. Look from the ground or a window. Downed lines and hanging limbs are emergency issues, not roofing issues.
Note what you can see
Missing shingles, tarps, dented gutters, broken glass and interior drips are useful notes. Photos from a safe place help the team prepare — they do not replace inspection.
Protect, then request an inspection
Move belongings off a wet ceiling if it is safe. Call 301-200-9223 for active leaks. Request a storm inspection so visible damage can be documented and next steps explained. Insurance approval is never guaranteed.
